The New Critical Infrastructure Resilience Act

🍹 RKEG? Unfortunately, it’s not a “Richtig Kaltes Erfrischungsgetränk,” but rather the new Critical Infrastructure Resilience Act. And this is an issue that operators of critical infrastructure AND data centers, in particular, should not ignore.

👮‍♀️ Under the new law, companies are required to systematically analyze risks, implement appropriate protective measures and continuously demonstrate their resilience. This is particularly relevant for the data center industry, as data centers are often critical facilities themselves or, at the very least, form the foundation for critical services in sectors such as energy, healthcare, government and finance.

This isn’t just about cybersecurity. Physical security, emergency management, organizational processes, and crisis resilience are also coming into sharper focus. “The RKEG makes it clear that resilience must be approached holistically—technically, organizationally, and physically,” explains our Georg Meixner.

✅ This is exactly where we support our customers: from analyzing requirements to developing appropriate strategies and implementing them in practice. After all, what matters in the end isn’t what’s written in a plan, but what actually works when it counts.
