ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Day

On may 15, 2024, the Assa Abloy Opening Solution Day took place in the Stunning ThirtyFive venue at the Vienna Twin Towers, high above the rooftops of Vienna. The event, masterfully organized by the Assa Abloy team, led by Managing Director Florian Höllbacher, Mercedes Winkler and Robert Udovicic, was a resounding success! Impressive presentations were given by Assa Abloy Senior Vice President David Moser on technology trends in locking systems and electromechanical products for door systems and fittings, by Verbund CISO Dr. Josef Bogensberger on upgrading the energy utility sector against potential logical and physical attacks and by certified expert Ing. Helmut Bergmayr on the nature and possible upgrading of security doors.

• My own contribution addressed a topic that is increasingly raised by our customers, especially in current times: what may or must I, for example as a data centre operator, infer from cybersecurity guidelines and legislation regarding physical security requirements, notably NISG 2024, NIS 2.0-RL, Cyber Resilliency Act, Resillience of Critical Facilities.

From all these inputs, as well as from highly specific customer situations, numerous exciting and insightful conversations emerged during the ample networking opportunities.
