A Visit to the CIS Compliance Summit 2026

NIS2 takes full effect on October 1 – and is here to stay! What this means specifically for Austrian companies and how they can prepare for the new requirements were the focus of the CIS Compliance Summit 2026 in Vienna. And we were there as exhibitors! Thanks to f.l.t.r. Harald Stadlbauer, Georg Meixner und Jürgen Kraft.

A key message of the day: Structured information security processes and ISO 27001 certification provide an important foundation for implementing the new requirements.

For us, however, the issue does not end with information security management and cybersecurity. Resilience also requires physical security. Particularly in the case of data centres and other critical infrastructure, the focus is on access control, power supply, cooling, redundancies and contingency plans. And on ensuring that organisational requirements actually work in practice.

This is precisely why events such as the CIS Compliance Summit are so important to us: they bring together different perspectives and create a space for professional discussion on how to turn regulatory requirements into workable solutions.
