News on EN50600

The EN50600 series of standards is the gold standard 🥇 for the data center industry. Developed in Europe and for Europe, these standards also form the basis for the international ISO/IEC 22237 series.

CENELEC members have just unanimously approved the 2nd edition of EN50600-3-1 on “Management and Operation” without any comments.

Consequently, the first edition of this standard from 2016 has also been completely revised and updated to align with the currently applicable EN50600-2-X.
Key new additions include sections on data center strategy, organization, data center management, risk management, and quality management.

The text of this standard has already been submitted to JTC 1/SC 39, where work is currently underway on the first edition of ISO/IEC 22237-7 (currently a committee draft).

Still until mid-April❗the draft CENELEC standards for the 3rd edition of EN50600-1, EN50600-2-2, and EN50600-2-3 are open for comment.
